The Best Caterer In Albuquerque, NM - An Eventective User from Seattle, Washington

We recently had the great pleasure to work with the Slate Street Cafe when we were planning our pre-wedding reception. The event was meant to be a casual get-together before the actual wedding for our family and very close friends. It was also our opportunity to do a dry-run of our ceremony. The pre-wedding reception was hosted at our family home, so we needed a caterer that would be able to do most prep and cooking/warming in our kitchen. We also wanted the meal to be a special, gourmet experience. We interviewed 4 caterers in the Albuquerque area and were lucky to find Slate Street Cafe. Our experience with Slate Street Cafe began with us doing a tasting at their restaurant. The tasting was included in the catering price, so wasn't an extra charge. Our contact from Slate Street had emailed us their catering menu and were able to narrow our tasting selection to 3 courses and 6 different deserts. Yes, we went a bit crazy on the desert tasting! The food was delectable! Slate Street Cafe has a wonderful menu, use the freshest of ingredients and the execute their dishes with imagination and flair. Their pastry chef, is nothing short of amazing though. We had decided early that we didn't want to do a wedding cake, but wanted cupcakes instead. We had heard that Slate Street Cafe was famous for their cupcakes and we weren't disappointed. After indulging in tasting 5 different cupcakes we decided on three for our ""wedding cake."" So, not only did we use Slate Street Cafe to cater our pre-wedding reception, we used them for our wedding day. When it came time to do the job, Slate Street Cafe staff did an amazing job. They were professional, on time, prepared a high quality meal that met all of our expectations, and did a thorough clean up of our kitchen before they left. They are wonderful and I plan on dining at Slate Street Cafe every time I am in Albuquerque.
