This beautiful site is located on the Inn’s lushly landscaped courtyard that includes an ornate rock wall with seasonal perennial flowers. It has a view of the terraced vineyard and is attached to the Arcturos and Aquarius event rooms.

Our Hilltop Vineyard site is the most beautiful and popular site for outdoor wedding ceremonies at Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay. It is also ideal for vineyard lunch or dinner parties, harvest dinners and much more. The view is breathtaking with a dramatic backdrop of sweeping vineyards and views of West Grand Traverse Bay. The area is able to accommodate a variety of wedding ceremony set-ups and special event options. Most recently we have invested in a landscaped and irrigated area for a more manicured look between the vines or, if a rustic atmosphere is more your style, there are many places within the vines that we can host your plans as well. Parking is available right at the site so guests or shuttles have an easy way to arrive. Use of the site is weather dependent and your Black Star Farms event staff will work with you to provide a back up location if needed. Bathroom facilities and power and currently not available and would need to be rented if required for your event.

This is a completely private outdoor site that is surrounded by lush woods and the iconic red house known as our Inn. There is a raised platform altar, and this venue sets up perfectly for a memorable walk down the aisle.

The largest of the event spaces inside the Inn, this room is versatile for a variety of special events up to 150 people. The set-up is flexible and can be designed according to your event needs. Aquarius is our most popular wedding venue as it sets up beautifully for an indoor ceremony with large white pillars framing the room and a very neutral palette to accommodate any color scheme. It is also a preferred space for anniversaries and company holiday parties. Please note that all evening events at the Inn must end by 10 pm as we may also have Inn guests seeking evening quiet hours.

This inviting and open space is perfect for small to medium sized events. There is great flexibility for table set-up along with a built-in bar for beverage service. The ambient lighting along with access to our covered patio make this a relaxing and lovely venue for weddings and anniversaries. It is also a well-suited space for corporate luncheons, meetings and presentations.

The Hearth & Vine, is a cozy restaurant with a wine and spirits bar and spacious outdoor patio on the Black Star Farms Suttons Bay estate. The restaurant is a great venue for smaller parties up to 40 people. It is perfect for rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, holiday parties and groups looking for dining while touring the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail.

The Pegasus Barn is one of the newest venue options at Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay. The centennial barn was completely renovated in 2013 to create an event space that would allow us to host a wide range of social gatherings. The rustic back drop of the original barn wood walls and solid wood floors are perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions, parties and groups who are looking for a space that is unique and beautiful. The four large posts that hold up the cathedral-like high ceilings create an ideal dance floor for first dances on wedding days, and there is an attached covered patio which opens up to a grand view of the property and extends down to a grassy courtyard with a fire pit and open areas for guests to mingle or play yard games. Maximum capacity in the barn is 150 guests. There is plenty of parking, and built-in bathroom facilities are handicap accessible. This venue has become a favorite for many as it is open to a wide range of options and set ups that can be planned with the event coordinating department. Seasonal use is from late-Spring until mid-Fall – typically April- October. Winter events may be planned, but there is not a heating system so arrangements will need to be made in that case.
