About Atwater Brewery in Detroit

Founded in 1997, Atwater Block Brewery made its debut in Detroit, Michigan in the historic Rivertown district. The original owner’s reasoning and focus was to bring back the Bohemian style lager that Stroh’s Brewing Company had made famous in the mid 1800’s. Mark Rieth, graduate of Michigan State University, purchased the brewery in 2005 and has seen exponential growth ever since. The brewery’s flagship Tap House in Detroit is thriving at its original Jos Campau location, including a full scale Rooftop Biergarten. We invite you to pull up a chair, a bench, or a barstool, and join us for a pint or two! Thank you for your interest in Atwater Brewey for your special event! Our private room, dubbed the Game Room, is available to host your shower, rehearsal dinner, business meeting, presentation or holiday gathering for up to 75 guests, 30 seated. The Stroh area of our Main Dining Hall seats 55 people and our Brewery can also be reserved for large parties and weddings. Combined, we can host strolling parties for over 380 guests! We look forward to working with you!
