Very Relaxing Location - An Eventective User from Westfield, Massachusetts

I have stayed at the Franciscan Guest House on three occasions now. The first time was quite unexpected, and just for one night. We arrived quite late, to do a talk the next morning, and we were actually met at the door by one of the monks, who was very kind, and set us up for the night. The second time my son and I came back to spend a week roaming around the area exploring the beaches, antique shops, book shops and the wonderful old drive-in movie theater up the road - as well as the lovely local restaurants - and we very much enjoyed the long walks in the woods on the property. The full breakfasts every morning were wonderful. The people are very kind and very helpful. The rooms are very basic, but very clean. It is located just off the center of Kennebunkport, and is on the Trolley Tour, and you can't beat the location! All in all, it was a very lovely, very peaceful experience. The fact that daily Mass was available a few steps away at the monastery was just an extra added bonus for our vacation experience!
