I recently rented out the Grace Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for my weeding a few weeks ago. The event site, location, service and staff, and overall experience was wonderful. The space available for rent is above the main room of a church, and was easily able to accomodate 250 people comfortably. We had 25 tables, as well as room for dinner buffet, a dj and lighting and sound system setup, and a cash bar. The location was centrally located in downtown Milwaukee just 5 minutes from both major interstates. A private parking lot was next to the Grace Center which allowed guests to easily find parking and as well a quick exit when they were ready to leave. They provided a staff of 3-5 from the actual center, and were very helpful in providing my caterer, wedding planner, and family members quickly and efficiently work throughout the reception and entire evening. The price I thought was very fair and reasonable, but I also booked the room about 2 years in advance so I would suggest you to call ahead and see what their availability is because I know during the summer wedding season they can get backed up for months at a time. The actual banquet room is located on the 2nd floor which may pose a problem for older guests. There was an elevator, however, but it did not run very fast. All in all, my guests complimented me on the venue and how perfect they thought everything was. I would recommend the Grace Center to anyone looking for a nice intimate atmosphere for a wedding, recital, bar mitzvah, graduation or any special event.
