The historically renovated RE Olds Anderson Rotary Barn was remodeled in 2004 through the generosity of the Mid-Michigan Rotary Clubs. Upper and lower floors are available for gatherings of up to 150 people. This rustic space is well suited to receptions, conferences and other private events.

The second story auditorium space accommodates up to 150 people. This open, airy barn loft is radiant heated and accessible by stairs and elevator. Woldumar provides twinkle lights throughout the space to enhance the mood for any occasion. The Auditorium is complete with a staging area, bar area, AV equipment, and access to the deck. The 3000 square foot auditorium is perfect for dancing the night away and celebrating good times.

The first floor gathering hall is reminiscent of the building's early days as a dairy barn. A long, narrow room with white wooden walls and cement floor offers plenty of space for tables and chairs for groups of up to 70. The restrooms and kitchen facilities are located on this level. Authentic barn doors open onto a large patio with picnic tables. Dimensions: 19ft x 70ft. (9 ft. high).

In 1862, the Moon family constructed this cabin a few miles away from Woldumar's current location and in 1980, the cabin was moved to our grounds. Woldumar uses the cabin for cultural heritage education. It is now open to the public on program Saturdays and during special events. The porch of the Moon Log Cabin provides a popular, rustic setting for Woldumar Ceremonies. Up to 150 guests can witness your ceremony from the lawn at this regularly maintained site. Next to the Moon Log Cabin is a well maintained herb garden. The entrance to the garden is a popular location for vow renewal ceremonies and small weddings.

Walnut Glen is the perfect location for a picturesque private wedding. Just a short walk from the barn, nestled in the woods, Walnut Glen is a favorite for many weddings due to its beautiful scenery. This area is complete with a stage and wooden benches that can accommodate up to 147 guests. Walnut Glen is a serene location with a steady stream and forest backdrop.

The sunrise pavilion is a covered patio nestled at the rear portion of Woldumar's regularly maintained area, and offers an east-facing view of nature's wonders. Up to 20 people can be seated under the roof, making this space ideal for small outdoor meetings or picnics. Larger events, such as concerts, often use the pavilion as a stage area and seat guests on the large, maintained lawn. The lawn area can seat up to 100 people.

The Merry Olds Room is a beautiful rustic room that was originally Woldumar's visitors center and has been converted into a rental space. The Merry Olds Room can accommodate up to 50 people and has access to a small deck and outdoor space. This is the perfect location for smaller events such as graduation parties, baby showers and birthday parties.

All Rentals Include:

  • The setup and cleanup of tables and chairs inside the rental space. Woldumar has tables to seat up to 150 people and 200 black folding chairs for indoor and outdoor use (some conditions apply).
  • A/V equipment if needed.
  • Handicapped accessible restrooms.
  • A kitchenette with a refrigerator, freezer and sink (only available for barn rentals).
  • On site coordinator to help with rental needs.

Site Permits

Outside vendors who wish to provide any for-profit service on Woldumar's property (including but not limited to commercial photography, eco tours, and special classes) are required to submit a site permit at least 7 days in advance. also, see our Visitor Rules.

Rental Tours Available by Appointment

If you are interested in renting a space at Woldumar, we would be happy to give you a tour and discuss how we can meet your rental needs. However, tours are by appointment only. Call 517-322-0030 or e-mail for more information or if you are interested in renting a space at Woldumar. Due to our frequent education programs and staffing limitations, we are unable to accommodate walk-in tours.
