My name is Melanie Murray and I own My Weddings YOUR Way. After hearing from several brides that they were frustrated with officiants who dictated how a wedding must be and my saying to them, "But it's YOUR day..." I decided that this is how my business would be run. Yes, it's my business but it's YOUR day and I want to help you make your dreams of your wedding come true. So "My Weddings YOUR Way" soon came about! With 15 plus years as a Charleston wedding officiant and as a South Carolina Notary Public, let me help share in your special day by offering unique and individualized service. Options
Religious or civil, I will give you the choice of the type of ceremony. I send my couples several different ceremony options and we turn it into the exactly what they want. There's nothing we can't find, figure out or add to your ceremony. I'll help write your own vows, include a unity candle, sand ceremony or find ways to make your children a part of the ceremony. Once we add my trademark, "Three Questions!", your ceremony will become unlike any other and something that you, your friends and family will always remember. It's YOUR day how you want it! Weddings available in Charleston, Goose Creek, Summerville, Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island or any location in South Carolina. I am ordained in every state for out of the area travel. Biography
Trust is a very important factor that you need to have with whoever you choose to officiate your wedding. I am an open book about who I am and my family. Allen and I were married 35 years ago. Our "first" ceremony was just the two of us with an attorney. Our "big" ceremony was done within the church. So we have experienced things both ways. Today, we have four children and four grandchildren. I love my hubby more each and every day and love helping couples to start their lives together. (Photo credit: CM Photography)
Pricing
My prices are the same whether your wedding is for the two of you or for two hundred guests. The only difference in the services that you get is how loud I talk. I will work with you to design a wedding service that fits the two of you. Distance and times may effect the price. I offer a discount for active duty military, police, fire ect when they book a wedding and rehearsal and pay in full. I am NOT a $500 and up wedding officiant unless major travel is involved. With me, you are going to feel like you have a new family member that has given you individualized elopement, local or destination wedding for a small hometown price!
