Short Bio
When I returned from teaching in Iran I visited the Magic Castle (Academy of Magical Arts), became enchanted with stage magic, practiced diligently, took lessons at the Chavez Academy, performed at small clubs in Hollywood, and in 1978 auditioned for membership at the Castle. I became a member at the Castle, watched a lot of magic, and continued to do a simple silent act at local clubs. I moved to Albany, NY to take a job at the New York State Dept. of Health where I became a mathematical epidemiologist analyzing the HIV/AIDS of NYS and the USA, performed cabaret magic for a great variety of groups, First Night, and small Catskill Resorts. Later I returned to the Castle to perform my silent act in the Palace and also had several weeks in the Parlour: see You Tube. In 2010 I retired from the Health Dept, moved to Richmond, VA, and continued my magic career doing parties and special events: close up and cabaret magic. I have a good knowledge of mentalism and find it useful in magic. Recently I have been studying and developing Chinese magic to Chinese music. I particularly like coin magic, stand up/close up, recently I am studying magic to find and perform magic for the virtual show/Zoom. I would very much like to perform magic to support some of the social movements occuring today.
