The hotel meets the high standards of a Sofitel... excellent service and nicely appointed rooms. The only disappointment is that the hotel is being renovated and the restaurant was closed. Service from the valet parking staff was exceptional. Great location on the Golden Mile near museums, restaurants, shopping.

the hotel lobby is a construction zone. and they charged C$100 to check into the room before 3pm even though it was clearly empty, and there was obviously no lobby to relax in. But in my room I could clearly hear the construction anyways

We had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel as always. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Our room was perfect on the 14th floor with a nice view. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The lobby is under renovation so the amenities of restaurants and bar is missing. The old lobby was beautiful so I am expecting great thing when it is done. All in all it was a fabulous stay

Really beautiful room and excellent but renovations dim the pleasure

The service is excellent, our room was spacious, and with a wonderful view of the city, but the lobby is being renovated this summer and that means that the hotel bar has temporarily been closed (and the restaurant relocated to a meeting room). They're doing their absolute best to make guests feel special, but it's not quite the same without the ground floor public spaces. If that's important to you, this is not the best time; if it's not an issue, you can't possibly go wrong.

Excellent service, and accommodation. A bit surprised that the hotel is under construction but no mention of that ahead of time. The lack of restaurant/bar especially during a rainy couple of days was disappointing.
