Have you tried Stone Mountain Park. During the reception, they put on a great laser show. You and your guests would really love it.

I have photographed several receptions as well as ceremony/reception at state parks. Most state parks do have a facility that is in doors for you to use that usually has a full kitchen with it.

Hi Adrena, I agree with the comments on outdoor parks, you could plan a great event on a tight budget at a park or rent a house w/ great outdoor landscaping, order some tables/chairs/plates/glasses/tent and do a lot of the decorating yourself w/ the help of family & friends. Keep in mind the time of day for your event as the heat can be unbearable late afternoon during the summer. For photographs you don't want yourself and your guest to be uncomfortable, shiny & sweaty, photos will be something you look back on for many years to come. Mid morning would be nice and a brunch menu is much more affordable.

Hope this helps.

If you do not already have a photographer I am opening a new business and my Grand opening prices for weddings are $150 all day from the time you start getting ready untill you drive away. I also have engagement photos for up to 2 hours for only $75. The prices include all photos on a CD with all rights released.
