I was thinking of putting some flowers in a vase with crystals in the bottom and votives around the base, then some rose petals. too. What do you think?
May I ask what type of flowers? Are they roses as well? Size/shape vase? You may email me directly if you like email@example.com
If that is all the budget allows I'm sure you'll do a fine job & they'll look lovely. The look has been done however;any way to personalize them to more reflect you? If you want guests to take them home make sure the vases are of a manageable size, and provide bags for carrying.
Flowers are going to be roses and orchords(spelling) and the vases are small round ones. We are on a 1000 budget and having a small 20 person wedding at our apartment. I will be adding some Fuschia ribbon
I believe I have an idea for you, that incorporates your flowers, $1 store globes or WalMart, ribbon and glue gun (smile). Please email me and I'll send you over an email with the details and I think there is a video you can watch how to do part of it. Hope you'll like the idea. Please shoot me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll answer it as soon as I can.
I think that sounds beautiful! I love it, =). I was planning on putting clear crystals on the tables and a vase with flowers in the middle, xP. (Still unsure of what flowers though, =P).
yeah we are in a small apartment and only having like maybe 10 guests or so. So we only have 1 or two centerpieces. Its a casual affair so we are having a homemade meal and minimal decor.
Would be okay that part of the centerpieces be used as party favors? I am doing a beach theme wedding. And I was going to make my centerpieces with a vase, candle, sand, colored rocks, and shells. I was going to make several big ones and small ones.
Yea you can give them away and you can even donate them to a local hospital or nursing home to briten up someones days
What are you doing for centerpieces? I have found several pictures of centerpieces and most of them you can make on your own instead of paying an arm and a leg for them.
flowers in vases and crystals with candles
What I am doing for my centerpieces is a small glass vase, use natural sand, with either lavendar rocks or ocean blue rocks, sented small voltive candles already in a small jar, and put seashells around the edges of the jar.
Scented candle can be a small problem if you have nose sensitive guests. Try unscented and just place some flowers around for scent. Candles are the worst if they are scented
I am wondering if they have unsented candles that are lavendar and ocean blue without the sents. I did not even think of that.
I'll look that email address up later when I have more time. Thanks
I just looked up flowerfactory.com the web page came up as a problem.

I have been to several weddings where they give the center pieces away to the person at the table whose birthday is closest to the wedding date of the bride and groom. It is a lovely gesture.

That would be beautiful.you should go to michaels or hobby lobby and get the stones that are colored.
Love it! You can get really inexpensive roses (markdown) from King Soopers or your local grocery store. They will drop the price on blooms that are past their prime. Depending on the color you are looking for, I got a dozen roses for 4.99 must last week. That's a good number of petals. Also Big Lots has very inexpensive candles, but Michael's sells 100 pack of tea lights for pretty cheap. Congrats on your wedding day.
Oh and the stones.... if you need a big amount water pearls are a more affordable version (if you're putting them in the vases, not around the base) You can dye these with food coloring, I've even done neon colors!
Don't worry, planning a DIY wedding on a budget doesn't have to look as if a bunch of kids in kindergarten threw it together.
Yea you can give them away and you can even donate them to a local hospital or nursing home to brighten up someones day
A Beautiful flower for a best wedding rental is a must-have.
I like to make my own centerpieces of candles
It's a lovely idea. By this you can easily give a personal touch to your wedding. Put some orchids flowers and colorful candles to make it perfect and eye-catching.
It's fantastic idea, and ideas of putting rose & votive is going to make centerpieces attractive.
I was thinking along the same lines with the vase. I am thinking of using small glass vase bowls and putting crystals in the bottom with a little water for flowers to float. I think it will look beautiful, yet simple.
Have you checked out Eternalwoodenroses.com ?
We have beautiful wooden roses that come in so many colors i'm sure we have a color you love!!
Best is that your centerpiece won't wilt away!
I am planning a Quencenera/ Sweet Sixteen on a budget also. I am leaning towards a similar idea to keep it cheap and elegant. I think a 12inch tall cilender vase with clear glass pebbles in the bottom and one white rose bud about 6-8 inches in total length will be placed into the vase, then filled with water allowing about 2-3 inches from the top and a floating candle... I know it's rpbably been done before also... but I think it will be a little unique and with any luck it will look like I spent more on it than i did!! ;-)
