Can someone suggest the venue for our company party? Guest size is around 350 people (include approx. 50 kids). Last time we had this at Sports ohio in Dublin, OH with Caricuture artists, baloon artists, magicin, etc. This year I want to get this done at a different venue.

Suggestions/Comments are most welcomed. Thanks in advance !!!

Wish you were in Corpus christi to have your event on Captain Clark's Flagship to cruise on the bay. You may have a river boat there! We hold 400 people and company picnics are great for the families. You can bring pot luck on our boat or have the event catered, have games for kids, a band for the adults...something different on each of the different decks.

I am looking for a place to rent for our group. we are going to have our annual Holloween party on October 30 or October 23. we are going to have probably from 50 to 75 attendees. We need a place around huntsville, AL so it will be convenient for people who will be traveling from scottsboro, Athens, boaz, Madison, North and South Huntsville. Our Group budget for rent is from $200 to $300. we are a non-profit organization. Any help and information is greatly appreciated.

A close up magician, or sleight of hand artist is always fun. Its like having David Blaine or Criss Angel at your event doing tricks for small groups of people at a time. In my experience it works great for all ages, and if you get the right magician they are usually funny too. Close up magic is perfect for things like cocktail hours, picnics, and restaurant type settings. Some of the tricks a close up magician might do are: making wine bottles appear from thin air, bending silverware with their mind, and mind reading. If you are considering a magician I may not be in your area, however if you have any questions I would be glad to help.

Photo booths are an awesome idea for corporate events. People have so much fun and it keeps your employees at the event longer. If you hire a photo booth with props it also keeps kids entertained. A great company to check out in the midwest is: http://agoodtimephotobooth.com/

They mainly do Kansas City but I think they'll travel as well.

Casino themes are always popular for picnics, company parties or any corporate event. A great way for the guests to mingle!

It has been said but a magician as entertainment is always a huge hit I always find that when I perform for corporate parties that it is always well received, it is generally an 45 minutes to an hour planned for you. It is also a good icebreaker in the form of Walk around or roving magic. During the event. Hope this helps.

While I was working/living in south Florida, I started an entertainment company that included Hermit Crab Races. I was the EmCee and had great response from everyone involved. This turned out to be the biggest hit at all of my customers picnics (over 300). Depending on where your event is, you may want to try it.

You should check out kent steel he's a one man band, plays everything from Elton John to ZZtop, billie joel to Toto and he's available as a single, Duo and with a full band, better than a DJ we used him for an event as a duo and they rocked!
Guest January 6, 2011
me too he's at www.kentsteel.com
he's great as a single or duo and if you can afford his band, they've opened for some big names, we saw them in statesville before foghat.

Have you tried making music video's. Each guest takes home a Dvd of the event. They even make special dvd labels for the event. You get to pick a song, put on funny hats or glasses and star in your own video. It is hilarious and and something different. The name of the company is Boppingheads Entertainment and they on this site. They do any party for any age.

We have an outdoor activity each year for our assoicates and their familys. Last year we did some of the games you see on Minute to Win it. Set up four or five stations and have teams competing. It is a lot of fun, and the childern are able to perticipate. We also had a soft ball game and bingo (with a few prizes for the winner). You may even get one of your assoicates or a family member to DJ for you.

What are some fun ideas that can be incorporated into a corporate meeting with prospects or customers rather than just having them sit through presentations.
DrRonShapiroDrRonShapiroPosts: 351 March 2, 2011
Hi Tara Brown,

In order to appropriately answer your question I need to ask a lot more questions:
  • What do you hope to accomplish with the customers?
  • What are you selling or marketing?
  • What is your customer profile?
  • What is your budget?
  • Are customers traveling to your event or are they local?
  • What are your customers goals?
My answer would be dramatically different if you are selling home appliances, time shares, surgical equipment, commercial real estate, consulting services, commercial air craft, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, vacations, etc, etc. etc.

If you prefer I can probably be more helpful in a 1:1 Consultation.

You may contact me through my EvenTective listing or my Education By Entertainment web site. No charge for initial telephone consultation.

Hire a face painter for the kids!

As event photographers, we set up a backdrop either with what is available, ie - small lake, picnic tables, trees - or we bring in back drops. Let the cameras roll, emails are obtained providing a digital image of the fun that took place.

A stilt walker was at our recent company picnic & he was amazing. He juggled, made balloons, and entertained both the kids and adults. Everyone loved him!

The setting that you choose should be informal; fun, hopefully involve the ocean. We have had a couple of parties on cruise vessels providing DJ and Karaoke services. Open bar, sea food, appetizers, terrific music and lots of fun!

I have been performing at corporate events for over 12 years. One thing I always notice is that they are looking for someone/something to bring them together. Often times, they don't know each other and need a show/activity to unify them as a group. I think a comedy show is the perfect thing. I perform a comedy and variety show called the Matt Baker Comedy + Stunt Show. I have broken 4 Guinness World Records and have appeared on America's Got Talent and Last Comic Standing. Take a look at my site www.comedystuntshow.com to see why I am one of the highest rated corporate entertainers on the West Coast.

Get an Onsite Pit BBQ to cater your picnic. It attracts quite the crowd (especially the men) and the food is hot off the pit. The smell of smoked foods will surely create the perfect picnic.

If you're looking for that "just right" musical entertainment, perhaps I can help. My name is Paul Burger and I have been entertaining crowds of all ages and demographics since the early eighties. With acoustic guitar and voice I perform songs spanning five decades of classic rock, blues and adult contemporary hits like James Taylor, The Allman and Doobie Brothers, Bob Seger, Cat Stevens, Johnny Cash. the Eagles, etc... Reasonably priced, not too loud, willing to travel (some). Look me up on Facebook and Myspace
