We are currently looking for estimates for a venues with packages including the food, bar, security, set up and clean up in Birmingham, AL. We have not set a date at the moment but are looking at the fall of 2013. Also we are need a dj, photographer, etc.
I strongly recommend you talk to some wedding planners. (I do video in another state.) PLanners help you stay on budget because they are used to working with your potential vendors; also, beyond the budget, a planner can help you enjoy your big day by handling the fires that may erupt (limo doesn't show, someone's in a snit, etc.) Finally, as a vendor, I LOVE weddings with planners because I know things will happen on cue and in an orderly fashion. GET A PLANNER!!!! (I do NOT sell planning services myself. Just to be clear.)

I would definatley recommend working with a planner, the venue can range in price, and not fit your theme or the feel that you want for the wedding.
If you want to bounce theme ideas off of someone don't hesitate to email me.

Congratulations on your engagement! What is the budget that you are working in?- If you haven't figured that out, I recommend first finding out what you can afford to spend on the wedding total. You may also want to look into getting a wedding planner to help you figure out the best way to dispence you budget between all your vendors and get you the best deal. Take a look at Southern Jubilee. They work with many clients on a budget and are definitely worth hiring if you need to keep things tightly budgeted.
