HELP! I am in need of a REALLY affordable/cheap Reception Hall/Banquet Hall to hold my reception in. Also, I could possibly be in need of an affordable place to hold a wedding at as well. I am having all sorts of problems with the facility I want to hold my wedding at getting back in touch with me. My budget is REALLY REALLY low and I'm only having about 60 guests. I am trying to do all my research myself as well as all of my catering and decorations. OMG I'm so stressed. The wedding is March 17, 2012

Hello! I am an event and wedding coordinator with the company Paisley Events. I have moved to CT, but ran my company for 3 years in the greater Norfolk area. I would be more than willing to speak with you at your earliest convenience. The sooner the better, then you can relax a little and be excited for the wedding without the stress :-) I hope to hear from you soon.

Take a deep breath and BREATHE.... you have options!
Check with the Williamsburg VFW post: http://www.vfwpost4639.com/
And while there isn't an Elks Club lodge in Williamsburg, you may find one nearby here: http://virginiaelks.org/lodges/lodge_home.htm
Also, check out the James City County/Williamsburg Parks and Recreation website. They have facilities you can rent, too: http://www.jccegov.com/recreation/rent-a-space.html#jcwcc
The Thomas Nelson Community College may have a space you can rent: http://tncc.edu/campuses-centers/
The College of William and Mary may also have space you can rent, as well as possibly a chapel for your ceremony: http://www.wm.edu/
These places are typically much cheaper to rent than a hotel or banquet hall, and you can always set apart a space for the ceremony itself by using an arch or 2 pedestals with flower arrangements on them.
Good luck!
