Should parents plan large celebrations for their graduating teen?

My son has really pulled it together his senior year, and my husband and I want to help him celebrate. Do you think that we should start planning a party for him and his classmates, or is this premature?
----and where should I go or contact to get the planning started?

Are there other parents going through the same dilemma? HELP

We have large graduation parties here in Wisconsin. It's a milestone in your child's life and should be celebrated. You don't have to plan a party for the whole class though. Just plan a party for your child and his closest friends and start now because venues, parks, and caterers get booked really early for that time of year. Have fun.
