starting the process of a destination wedding in charleston somewhere? Went to school there so I know about the area. Been on the internet searching, but everything is way to expensive for what you get? Anyone know of a good caterer that can handle a beach wedding?

I'm in Charleston and I highly recommend Regal Catering! They can pretty much put together any kind of budget you want and they have done alot of beach weddings. Their food is awesome and they do a great job displaying the food.

We've been CharlestonWeddingPhotographers.com for over 20 yrs. Just to let you know that we do know the city very well. The Holiday Inn is simply beautiful. The wedding, according on what time of day and what month of the year, will be filled with beach viewers. Editing large numbers of people out of the photos is almost impossible. Perhaps having the dinner, breakfast there and having the wedding at the Morris Island Light House. It's a straight shot from the Hotel and about 2 or 3 miles down at the end of the beach. It is beautiful. My husband and I got married there. There are some considerations about it, though. Do call me and I can fill you in on all the details. However we offer a FREE OFFICIANT, two photographers and exptremely great prices on photography packages. Our prices start at just $495 and FREE OFFICIANT is included in all pkgs. Oops-almost forgot......Patriots point is very beautiful also. There is a pier going out overlooking the Charleston Harbor, but I don't think the pier will hold 125 people. But, maybe you could rent chairs to go on the land overlooking the Harbor. They have an outdoor Pavillon which is fantastic for weddings/receptions. It is simply beautiful. Call us! www.freeofficiant.com www.charlestonweddingphotographers.com

Patriot's Point is an excellent choice. We've photographed alot of weddings there and have another coming up next month. You do have a choice of either using the pier or the lawn. I prefer the lawn for several reasons. I can go over those reasons with you as well as give you a link to a wedding I photographed their. Give me a call if you'd like to discuss it further 843-875-4034 www.photographybyterryinc.com

My son is getting married in Charleston in June 2012. It will be a destination wedding: we are from Virginia and the bride is from Texas. We'd like to have an informal rehearsal dinner (BBQ). I hope that we can rent a house for the immediate family and have the BBQ there. Any suggestions for caterers, a venue, housing? Thanks!

We have done MANY weddings with Melvin's BBQ. http://www.melvinsbbq.com/ 843-795-6794-Local company here in Charleston. Another Famous one is Sticky Fingers (. We were one of their first customers back in the early 90's. They have expanded their restaurants to several states now and their food is fantastic. http://www.stickyfingers.com 843-856-9845 I understand you wanting recommendations, but this is a hard one. BOTH of these Restaurants are Charleston's BEST. I'd say 50/50. Choose according to your budget if that's a concern. I am sure they are both very competitive, just as we are in our packages. We offer a FREE OFFICIANT plus 25+ yrs. of professional AFFORDABLE photography. We are experts and very creative with our posing strategies.

http://www.charlestonweddingphotographers.com/photographers-charleston.jpg This is a photo done at 1208 Tabby Dr. Folly Bch. http://www.flipkey.com/folly-beach-vacation-rentals/p90254/ Cannot remember if the photo was done exactly in the back yard or somewhere nearby; I think it was nearby at a different house. Either way, it was accessible and absolutely beautiful!! Good luck. Contact us and I will be happy to send you the link to the full wedding. The hostess (Colette) of "Sweet Carolina" on WLCNTV.com found us on Facebook and saw this photo. She fell in love with it and put us on a a guest on her show on Nov. 16th! The wedding was held on Dec. 31st and it was very COLD. The ceremony was held in the den of the home. It was beautiful. There were only maybe 25 guests, though. Give us a call!
