My husband and I are looking for a nice venue for our 25th wedding anniversary party in January. My budget is $800 for the location. We are looking in Lawrenceville, Ga or nearby. Any suggestions?

You can get some amazing venues for that prices, at least in PA.
Are you looking to have it catered, and if so, do you already have a caterer in mind? If you do, the hall you want will allow you to have your own caterer. For example, our company is planning a fundraiser for Autism Speaks in February and we are using a Best Western. They are allowing us the entire ballroom and breakfast area (it is a casino night) for $350, and providing alcohol for the open bar and a bartender. They allowed us to bring in a separate caterer for the food since we had someone sponsoring the event by giving us a huge discount on the food!
Look for unusual places, or places that are special to the two of you. Where did you meet or get engaged? Is there a musuem that you particularly like going to together? This would be a great place to start!

That's ok, I was just hoping to provide you with some helpful information. Our business is in Pennsylvania, so I wouldn't have been much help for specific locations in your area. I was hoping perhaps to give you some ideas on how I had helped my clients in my area. I wish you the best of luck and would like to say congratulations again. 25 years is very momentous! It's been awhile since I've been to Gwinnett County (grandparents lived in Snellville for almost fifty years), but I imagine the suggestions at this link will apply in that area. http://www.eventective.com/forum/topic1410-ideas-for-inexpensive-venues.aspx
As built up as your area is, surely there is something suitable in your price range.
