I'm hoping someone out there has some experience and suggestions for an affordable wedding reception venue in Montreal. I'm having no luck searching online. My future husband is from Montreal but I live in Ireland and as he is new to this whole wedding organising thing he is having about as much luck as I am.  Does anyone know somewhere with a small reception room (for about 40 guests) that doesn't look as budget conscious as it is? any and all suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. The wedding isn't until September next year but we want to just get the church and reception venue booked now for peace of mind. Thanks in advance

Although I'm not familiar with venues in Montreal, there are several venues just south of Montreal in the Adirondacks of New York. We actually have a couple from Montreal getting married here on 10/3/10 at Highlands Castle overlooking Lake George NY. It's a beautiful area.

40 People in Montreal is quite easy, the reason you could not find nothing on the web is because there is just too many, Most restaurant/hotels will accommodate 40 guests.
