Theme Weddings are the most memorable! Last Sunday I did a Norse Mythology Themed Wedding - hey, it was Halloween so everyone - guests included was in costume! My son played guitar for the guests before and after the ceremony and of course the Wedding March for the Bride. http://www.oursimpleceremony.com/index.htm We all had fun and you will too!!

Enjoy,

You can do an art deco or hollywood theme using these colors. I would also add splashes of grey and black.

Your centerpieces can be a mix of dyed blue flowers with silver branches, dripping crystal strands and navy and black feathers in clear or silver vases. You can also add some blue and silver "bling" to the tables. Your table cloths should be navy pin tuck, and have your caterer provide silver trimmed stemware, silver charges.

You can buy two large posters of your favorite old stars like Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Gary Grant, etc. and attach them to styroboard and place by a wall so that your guests can get photographed. You should also have a pre-shoot and you and your fiance should dress 40's style with top hat, cane, feather boa and stylish clothing. You can blow up some poster sized images of yourselves and place around the room, as well as making 5x7 framed photos for your table #'s.

Get feathered masks, top hats & other hollywood novelties and hand them out to guests while dancing. It should be a fun and memorable affair.

Good luck!

These are great, romantic colors. You can do something of a "monte carlo" theme with red table cloths and black and white damask runners, large urns of blood red roses and black and clear dripping crystals. Your menu cards (you can also order a banner) could say "Lucky in Love" and design a logo with the same theme and sprinkle gold coins and colored gem stones on the tables.

Have the bar well-stocked with rum, whiskey, gin and vodka. Serve drinks over ice, or incorporate them into casino themed cocktails such a Martini Royale or a Cuba Libre.
Easier still, have plenty of the bubbly ready to mix up a communal batch of champagne punch. (Also don't forget to have sparkling water, soda or fruit drinks on hand for the non-drinkers.)
Casino Night Favors

At party's end, send guests home happy with a goodie bag filled with party favors such as lottery tickets, a pack of cards, a pair of dice, a rabbits foot, gold coins or gems for good luck.
Best,

Educated 3511:
Hi, I visit Maryland all the time since I have family there and went to a wedding as a guest at this facility in Maryland.

They offer everything (I can give you a better price on photography & videography that will include your invites, dvd of your day, thank-you cards and deluxe 12x12 photo album.)

But do check them out as they are well within your budget and quite lovely. You can bring in your own caterer or use their preferred vendors (which are quite good), but that's up to you and it's good to have an option. Be sure you get a tasting of the food, have your color scheme and see what they can offer in terms of decor.

Good luck, and let me know if you'd like to chat about our media packages.

Looking to rent a small sized warehouse, bricks and windows style loft in Brooklyn, NYC or NJ for a celebration. Any suggestions?

I would recommend also thinking of your guest list as far as themes goes. Yes, a Vegas or a Roaring 20s theme can transcend generations and families, but I'm not sure a Dirty South, Krunk, Death Metal or Goth theme would really work if you are inviting people that are not familiar with it.
Naturally, it's your night, but if your theme is obscure it can turn people off.
I have a friend that's REALLY big into the metal band Ghost. And she's mentioned that her boyfriend and she wanted to do a Ghost theme wedding. Again, it's all well and good, but if the guest list included half metal fans and half none metal, it might be a little uncomfortable for those people to hear the lyrics and see the black pope and monk outfits.

Themes, can be anything, it does not necessarily have to be around a saying. Using colors through out or a feel can be a theme... Making the theme about you and your future spouse is always a great idea and makes it personal.

My favorite era! I think it's a lovely idea-think of "flapper" style dresses-what fun! smile
