the less you do, the better. you whole life is going to change. the first thing is to pick a venue and do limit your guests to just your closest friends and family.

unless you hire a wedding planner, doing it yourself is extremely stressful and tiring, especially since you are starting a new job and are with child.

i would choose a nice restaurant with a private party room. they can give you 3 or 4 courses, a champagne toast and if you have it in the afternoon, it would be more than okay to just serve wine and beer. you can order your cake from any bakery and use a local florist to do flower arrangements that are in season. you can save a lot of cash by providing your florist with vases (you can purchase from Home Goods or other decor store) and buy your own tea lights to surround the vase. the florist can also spread some petals on the table as well as flowers on or around the cake.

i design simple, but elegant invitations, menu cards, ceremony programs, thank-you magnets with your image as well as thank you cards which can all match your theme and colors. I can get this package to you at a very reasonable rate and send you proofs for approval.

As far as your dress, you will need to customize it for your shape and to accomodate your child, so you'll have to spend a bit of cash here, but you will look beautiful, I am sure. Check in with your local bridal store and tell them your situation. They will accommodate you and give you a deadline for that October wedding - you will probably need to order a bigger size than you are now and they will do the alterations a week or so before your wedding.

do pick a small and trustworthy bridal party and do hire an officient if you are not getting married in a church or temple.

of course, you need to start your planning now. do email me or call. i do give free consultations (up to 2) over the phone.

Regards, good luck and all my best wishes.

I'm not in Michigan, but can give you some ideas if you want. Feel free to email me where you are 'getting stuck' or just need to talk through ideas. One thing I would suggest is do a simple wedding with close family/friends now (even just a small party at your house) and when life settles down a bit you can throw a bigger reception. You have a lot going on and a new baby on the way, try to destress your life as much as you can.

Again feel free to email...just mention this forum so I know what it is in regards to.
