What is your budget? Take a look at the Science Center Venues, or Parc Jean Drapeau Venues, & there is also the DDO Civic Center Halls & Receptions in the West Island. Depends on your budget.

Hello Orlando - I'm looking for a cool vibe space to have a birthday party and "jam session" with old musician friends. Prefer somewhere in Downtown Orlando but open within 15 mile radius. I want to have a party for my 30th birthday in September. I'm looking at the 19th of September, but my dates are flexible if availability is an issue. I'm trying to find a hall or ballroom where I can have around 60-75 people there and they allow you to bring food and alcohol in. I can handle all of the food, alcohol, and dj I just need a venue. It is definitely possible, but will probably be a smaller wedding. Have you taken a look at any of what I like to call "natural" venues in the area? Beaches, parks, museums and community areas usually don't run as expensive as a full service venue but can still be beautiful. Tent weddings are a personal favorite of mine. It is hard to offer suggestions without knowing the exact location you are looking at or details.
I suggest hiring a coordinator. They are going to know how to manipulate your budget in the best possible way.
My final suggestion is to pick two things you would like to spend the most money on, get those finalized, then make everything else work within the remainder.
