- see if a friend who lives in an apartment or a condominium has a clubhouse they can rent for you.
- check with religious institutions, schools and other community organizations to see if they have a meeting room you can rent.
- consider city and state parks with picnic shelters
- check with hotels which offer free breakfast, but do not have a restaurant to see if they can rent you the breakfast area or a conference room.
- check with family restaurants to see if they will give you a room free if everyone orders lunch off the regular menu.

The bride and groom must determine the priorities, not the vendors. Every vendor here should be able to make the case for their service or product. However, if you really want a hopping great band, and flowers, photos aren't that important to you, get that band. Limo's can be replaced with Uber. Flowers can be bought at numerous places, and you can certainly find great photographers, bands, makeup, hair folks on Craigslist (and you can be burned there as well. Talk to friends. Ask their opinions. Look at their photos. What they might be so excited about, might give you an upset stomach.
You run your wedding. No vendors. No parents. No siblings. It is your day. Do it your way. And remember, after all is said and done, you will be married. Relax as much as possible. The fewer the details, the fewer things that can go wrong. Focus on your marriage. That is what is truly important.

We have been asked to photograph corporate Christmas parties and seen gifts given at those parties. Usually in the $25-$200 price range. An occasional big screen TV is given away, or vacation. Depends on if the gifts are randomly drawn, or earned by being the best salesman for the past year, etc.

Hello, i am looking for a venue or a lounge to rent out for an aftergrad party. Its going to be a 60 people party on june 14th or 15th. We have a big budget so the money is not a problem. Will review any suggestions.
I'm not familiar with your area (indeed, i don't even know what state it is in). That being said, here are some general ideas which may be of help:
- Check with your school: Do they have a room they could loan or rent to you?
- Check with friends who live in condominiums or apartment complexes: Do their buildings have a common area which they could rent at a low cost for you?
- Check with your religious organization: Do they have a room they could loan or rent to you inexpensively?
- Check with hotels which offer a free breakfast, but do not have another restaurant. Do they have a meeting room, or could they rent you the breakfast area?
- Check with family restaurants in your area: Will they let you use a room or part of the restaurant that is separated from the rest of the restaurant if everyone orders a meal from the menu?
Try to avoid full service hotels and other places which sell beverages. Beverages provide them with a significant revenue stream and they are unlikely to allow outside beverages. Even if the location sounds inexpensive, if they are charging you $3.00 for a bottle of water or a soda the cost will add up very quickly.

Looking for a place to hold our 30th high school reunion. Would love a less-traditional and less-formal space, maybe with some cozier places to sit and talk. Bar on site or bar service. Would be great if a hotel were within walking distance for those coming from out-of town. We held our last reunion at a hotel but the bar was not part of the main room and everyone mostly stood around the bar which cut down on mingling etc.

I'm producing an interactive media project called "Animate HER", which includes a creative workshop. This workshop will bring together animators, writers and electronic musicians to create a dynamic 6-chapter motion comic series and graphic novel.
We are seeking a stunning Gulf Islands venue for this workshop that will infuse the event with the right energy and tone for our creative process. We'd love to know more about your venue and see whether there may be an opportunity for our workshop to be held there.
