I am starting to plan a 50th birthday party for my mom for October.
I have never really planned a birthday party to this extent. My mom has really been through a lot and I want to throw her something nice to show her how much she is loved an appreciated.
I need some ideas on venues. The party will have about 50 guests. I am a bit tight as far as the budget goes, my brother will be helping me but we wouldn't want to spend more than $3000 for the whole event, less if possible.
I am looking to have the party in Chicago as most of our family lives in the city, but I would be willing to take suggestions for the suburbs as well since my mom and I live out in Elgin.

Well the wedding day is finally here after months of planning, countless meetings & appointments, and hours of burning the midnight oil to keep it all moving forward to plan for what is often said by many to be "one of the happiest days of my life". But there is a part of the planning process that many bridal couples may not fully consider.
VIDEO TIP #6: Bridal couples generally consider many aspects of setting up their wedding venue usually from the point of view of how the wedding venue will look to their family and invited guests. Talk to your video production company and your photographer to find what can be done to allow for quality camera site lines for the best possible wedding video and photography shots.
Whether the wedding portion of your wedding day is at a traditional church setting or not, there are a limited number of camera site lines that will provide the best results. In addition many churches have restrictions and/or guidelines regarding camera placement and movement. When you add up all of these factors you begin to see the need of working with your videographer and photographer so that your design layout does not become another obstacle to the efforts of the professionals that you have hired to capture your wedding day memories.
Four of the biggest problems faced by the videographer and photographer are the placement of flowers, the unity candle placement, the positioning of the bridal couple, and the positioning of the wedding arch. So make it a point to talk to your videographer and photographer in a pre-production meeting that in addition to the design layout the bridal couple must be prepared to cover restrictions and ground rules that will be encountered at the wedding venue. It would also be a good idea for bridal couples to use their digital camera or smart phone and take lots of photos during your visit at the wedding and reception locations. These photos can become an important part of your meeting by providing visual reference information.
Finally, have the videographers and the photographers use your layout as a guide to work out a shooting game plan to minimize shooting, positioning, and time with the bridal couple conflicts.

Our wedding will be September 25, 2015 in Decatur. We are looking for a wedding planner and dj. We have already secured most of the vendors, so no contract negotiations or recommendations will be needed. We will primarily need someone to assist with finalizing the wedding day itinerary, rehearsal, ceremony procession, reception and ensuring that the room flip (using the same venue for both reception and ceremony) is done exactly as we would like. We will be handling décor, but just need someone to make sure it is perfect the day of. I would like to work with someone beginning 8 weeks out and two face-to-face meetings and a venue walk through with the caterer.

Hey all. Me and my fiance are looking for an inexpensive wedding venue in the area of Northeast PA (scranton/wilkes barre area). We are paying for the wedding ourselves, and after buying a house just last year money is tight, We are looking for May of 2016. We went to see Bischwind B&B today in Bear Creek. It is super nice, price is great! and Includes guest rooms (which is a good thing for us). BUT, they can only have 48 guests including us. Although we are planning a smaller wedding, I think 48 may be TOO small for us. Possibly around 60 guests? We are looking for a place very similar to Bischwind... one base price for reception, food, and guest rooms included or just basically anything that would allow us to do the same for around 3-4000.
Any ideas?! I have noticed alot of places are charging more than $100 a head and also charging for having less than a 100 people, That is just out of our price range, If we could keep the ceremony and reception under 4k that would be great.
Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!!

I've searched long and far and have yet to find a venue for my wedding!! I can't afford a lot being that no one is helping me and my fiance financially with this wedding. We plan on having it February 20th, 2016 but it seems like we might have missed that date in some cases. We are willing to change our date if need be.
