“Consistently outstanding!! Carmel Bistro Giovanni depicts the unique & magical aura of Carmel So many superlative adjectives to aid in the writing of this review, not enough space or time, So will limit my words & condense my thoughts.

My husband loves all the pasta offerings, he says “the best I have ever had” I am more of a fish, carnivore personality, all delectably delicious, always consistent in quality, presentation, and preparation. Sauces perfectly balanced, artistic plating, accompaniments a scrumptious blending with every entrée.

For all you oenophiles Bistro Giovanni offers a private selection of wines from their personal cellars. Block 57 & Giovanni, all superb If necessary to choose a red and a white my favorites, The Petite Sirah & Giovanni Cellar Russian River Chardonnay both outstanding plus astonishing value for your money Congenial & knowledgeable staff Outside dining on the patio which is stylishly European in flavor. Now with the addition of strategically placed gas heaters warm & comfy on a chilly nite If in Carmel a must go, premier destination!!”

“Oh my word, the BEST gluten free!!!!!! I’m not sure I have words adequate to express how yummy the food is here!! I have been gluten free (due to allergy) for over 12 years, and in ALL my travels in the United States this is the BEST gluten free Italian food I have ever experienced!!!! The service is phenomenal, the wine is absolutely delicious, everyone is knowledgeable about gluten free and cross contamination, and the food is pure HEAVEN! There is even gluten free garlic bread that is delicious! The atmosphere is classy, cozy, and inviting, and I had zero concerns about my food containing any gluten! At one point I was fighting back tears because I was that overwhelmed with gratitude for the entire experience.”
