ABOUT ACEC

As both an educational and cultural center, the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center (ACEC), located in Watertown, MA, has been serving the needs of the communities in the Greater Boston area since 1980. Home to a number of Armenian organizations, the ACEC facilities include a function hall with stage, full gymnasium, boardroom, industrial kitchen, and outdoor courtyard. The ACEC is available to host private or public functions by Armenian and non-Armenian groups.

The Armenian Cultural and Education Center (ACEC) and the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society of Boston are thrilled to announce their new initiative; the Hamazkayin Boston Chamber Choir, under the direction of Doctor of Music, Maestro Artur Veranian, internationally acclaimed choral conductor and instructor. Maestro Veranian has trained and educated singers and choir conductors around the world for decades and has been acknowledged and celebrated for his unique innovative vocal technique. He is a recipient of many international awards and prizes at European competitions in Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine and Armenia. Rehearsals are held at the ACEC Watertown (47 Nichols Avenue) every Tuesday, 7-9pm. Currently accepting new choir members.

Café Anoush is a very unique and popular outdoor dining activity held at the ACEC in the summer. After interruption due to COVID, this activity is back starting summer of 2024 with Anoush’ella, the caterer operating the ACEC kitchen! Located in the ACEC courtyard, Anoush’ella will serve appetizers, side dishes, and kebabs Thursday evenings (rain or shine), from 5:30pm to 9pm.
