A 1920s Farmstead Highlighting Sustainable Agriculture, Homesteading, Heirloom Gardening, and Farm to Table Cooking
Located outside of West Lafayette near Battle Ground, Indiana inside the beautiful Prophetstown State Park, The Farm at Prophetstown offers a unique experience to visitors on all aspects of farm life in the 1920s. Programs, events and classes revolve around topics like baking, blacksmithing, gardening, canning, animal care, and era-specific family entertainment and crafts. Farm-to-table cooking is highlighted with The Farm’s popular multi-course dinners served on beautiful china from the early 1900s. The Farm practices aspects of sustainable agriculture and offers a variety of heritage breed animals that would have been found on farms during this time period. Two farmhouses on the property serve as museums and offer a glimpse into how families lived in the 1920s, with additional buildings that include a magnificent barn, a blacksmith shop, a corn crib, chicken coops and other facilities for visitors to explore and enjoy. The Farm draws on a wide range of resources such as beekeepers, master gardeners, farm professionals, and home economics experts. Animals guests can visit on The Farm include; horses, cows, sheep, pigs, donkeys, chickens, ducks and turkeys.
The staff is dedicated to showing, sharing, and teaching about historic agriculture and the homesteading arts, as well as outstanding animal care and excellent customer service. Admission is free with state park entry except for special programming and workshops. We welcome you to visit us and fall in love with The Farm at Prophetstown!

Nourish yourself and your family with the best ingredients, straight from our farm to your table! The Farm takes great pride in the care we give to our animals, grass fed and supplemented with grains grown on The Farm. There is nothing like the quality and taste of our pork and beef products! The all natural meat and eggs are sold year round. Also, fresh fruits and vegetables are offered for sale as they are available in our gardens.
Come to the Gibson Farmhouse to purchase meat, eggs, seasonal produce, and other items. We encourage you to call ahead at (765) 567-4700 with any questions on our items for sale and on the availability of items you might be interested in. We can have your products gathered and ready for pick up!
You may want to consider purchasing a membership to The Farm if you enjoy our meat, eggs and produce and plan to visit us often. A $55 membership provides you free park admission to all state parks PLUS special 10% discounts on meat, eggs, and produce as announced throughout the year! It’s a great deal!
