sign1.jpgIn north-central North Dakota, the mascot of the little town of Anamoose has gotten married. Joe the moose, the mascot on the sign leading into the town of Anamoose, has been united with his mate, Ana, in a mock wedding.

The mock wedding was held on Saturday June 28th to celebrate the adding of “Ana” moose to the town’s welcome sign. The wedding was done all in fun, with Ron Cartwright as Ana and Barb Martin as Joe.

Maury Becker, the “minister” at the wedding, officially declared Joe and Ana “miserable mates.” The moose couple the cut the wedding cake and handed out “moose droppings.” About 200 people from the 260-person town showed up to the wedding.
