Green Events for a Greener Planet
April 10, 2008
As environmental awareness increases, more people are becoming interested in what they can do to reduce their impact on the environment.
Meetings and events are no exception to the “green” movement. Any event can be made a little greener, whether you’re planning a wedding, party, reunion or corporate event.
No matter the size of your event, the resources involved have a significant impact on the environment.
Travel to the event, electricity used to power it, food, packaging, and more can all have a negative impact on our environment and contribute to problems like global warming.
Fortunately there are things you can do to lessen your impact and help promote sustainability.
If you’re planning a meeting or event, consider making it a green one. Green event planners use practices that are designed to reduce impact on the environment.
From food, to transportation to waste management and all other aspects of an event, there’s a lot you can do to make your event an environmentally friendly one.
