Chiverie continues today in small rural towns in Illinois. After the reception the wedding party(and others) head to a bar to continue the festivities then, after last call, go find the bride and groom. In locales with 4am bars they often take B&G to breakfast. By law all Chiveries must include at least one participant wearing a John Deere hat.
