Fire Breaks out at Atlantis Hotel, Dubai

A huge fire broke out at Dubai’s Atlantis hotel, just weeks before its scheduled opening.
Firefighters managed to save the hotel from the fire, but damage done to the grand entrance and part of the roof have left a blackened mess.

The fire broke out in the hotel’s lobby on Tuesday morning at 7:20 AM. Firefighters contained the blaze by 10:15 AM. The cause of the fire is still yet to be determined.

There were no guests staying at the hotel at the time of the fire, and hotel workers were evacuated immediately.

Couple Get Married in Funeral Home

Taliban Attacks Hinder Tourism in Pakistan’s Swat Valley

The Swat Valley is a lush, green and historic place situated in the region where South Asia, Central Asia and China meet.

Considered to be the Switzerland of Pakistan, many were drawn to its breathtaking natural beauty until Taliban militants took over.

Last year, militants came into the area, halting tourism and business. Fighting and unrest in the area has led to a loss of tourism to the Swat Valley, including the closure of the popular ski resort at Malam Jabba.
