Online Marketing Journey

Mainsail Conference and Events Center started their online marketing journey with their events director 4 years ago on WeddingWire and The Knot and joined Eventective in 2013 as an Enhanced Subscriber. As an Enhanced Subscriber, Mainsail was more cautious on which leads to purchase as they came in on the account at a 20% discount. Recently, Mainsail Conference and Events Center upgraded to a Premium Subscription which allows all leads to come in for free and displays their listing throughout the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro area.

“With Eventective bringing in an abundance of leads each week, the amount of quality wedding leads have increased our business.”
“With the Premium Subscription, I respond to everyone and a lot of them are social responsive leads!” – Annette from Mainsail Conference & Events Center Tampa

The Eventective Solution

When asked what Mainsail liked most about Eventective, they said the “volume of leads” compared to other event planning websites. “Planners submitting leads through Eventective are more responsive and local, making it easier to carry on a conversation about their event.” The best advice that Mainsail can give to other venues when following up with leads is to be aware of the timing. If a lead comes in, send out an email right away including your event packages and information. Follow up with a phone call and do not be afraid to leave a voicemail even if the event date requested is booked.

“A lot of these leads turn into social conversations where I can try to change their mind about their event date to have it at our location, so I follow up with everyone.” – Annette

Quantity and Quality

In 2013, Mainsail Conference and Events Center had 146 leads come in for events. As of March 2014, they have already received more than 70 leads – nearly twice the 2013 total in less than three months. With that being said, leads have increased and the quality of those leads mean that business is being booked!
