Direct Leads are Referrals
While many Eventective businesses enjoy tremendous success from our Pay-Per-Lead Program, just as many businesses listed on our site see these Competitive Leads as a nuisance. As a result, the lead messages are lost in their inbox, and with the increase in the number of Referrals, so are some potential clients.
Receiving Competitive Leads via email is an option that you need to turn on in your Lead Preferences – read the Lead Preferences Article to learn more. We also require you to log in to get planner contact information when you receive a Referral.
Planners Interested in You
Referrals are generated when a planner interested in learning more about your business clicks the Contact Venue/Vendor button on your listing, or more frequently, when the planner clicks the Contact button on the browse page.
Upon filling out an Event Request, the referral is sent direct to you at no charge since the planner selected your listing as the one to contact. Other businesses may receive the lead if the planner elected to send Competitive Leads, but those businesses will be requested to pay for the contact information while you get the info free of charge.
Log In to My Eventective
When you receive a Referral, you will see all the event details in the message, except for the planner's contact information. You will be required to log in to your Eventective listing to view the contact details. Simply click on the link in the email, log in or register and go to your My Eventective Page.
Once logged in, go to your My Eventective page and you will see a notice on the listings receiving direct requests:
This link takes you to your Event Manager and automatically filters to display only Referrals.
To view the lead details, including contact information, tap or click the lead to open the Event Timeline. The Event Timeline displays all the contact information in the Event Header and gives you three easy ways to contact your prospective client.
Click on the contact email address listed to send a message using your personal email, on any mobile device (or call enabled computer) tap the phone number to connect immediately, or send a repy to the planner using the Eventective messaging system.
Be Sure to Respond
It is very important for you to respond to your Referrals. These planners have selected your business and submitted a direct inquiry. Be sure to respond even if it is to tell them that you cannot accommodate their event.
Referrals and Competitive Leads are both sent from Eventective@noreply.eventective.com, please add this address to your safe-senders list so potential business is not ending up in your junk folder.
