I think that how things were, and how things are now, would be that you are weeding out those whom you can't make a profit of. We pay $2.50 or $5.00 per lead just like your premium advertisers, and for you to allow refunds for them, and not for your courtesy listings, would be unfair to all who choose not to pay that extra. We have to see a profit in order to invest more, and if we don't see profit with a courtesy listing, why should we invest more in a premium. I have utilized your pay per click, and your package options, and have not received not one good lead from that. So why should I invest in a premium listing, what would be the difference?

By offering lead refunds only to clients with Annual Subscriptions, we lower your cost as a lead buyer with lead discounts and increase the value of your listing with increased exposure on Eventective at the Enhanced and Premium levels.  Additionally, the new refund policy increases the value of Eventective to our visitors by providing your contact information on your listing and, at the Premium level, in an automated response to requests. I don't see how that will help us, and the reason why is that we are paying for a listing, we are still paying for pay per click, as well pay per lead. So explain to me how this that helping us as a premium subscriber? Now if you offered us a program that we subscribe to that takes care of our pay per click and pay per lead charges then I think it would benefit us. But as it sits for courtesy listing you get revenue from us from the pay per clicks and the packages. So now you are telling us that we have to have a premium package to get refunds on money that is really not returned to us per say, it is just held in an account that you have, and it is given back to us as credit to utilize again. What is so wrong with that? I think it is unfair, and I think you are making a big mistake legally. We were not notified of the changes, and now we are being pushed into accepting something that we may not want. You guys should look at how Netflex got into trouble. You have changed a policy that will probably effect a lot of small businesses, who are trying to build and you are taking away the refund policy which probably helped most of us, as we continued our services with you. I would hate to lose these listings, but I will will remove mine due to your changes. :( I will do my research

Hi Jeanetta –EventClicks, Annual Subscriptions and the Pay-Per-Lead Program are three separate products.  Your listing only needs to have an Annual Subscription or EventClicks depending on how active you are in the Pay-Per-Lead Program.  EventClicks gives your listing more exposure on Eventective.  With a courtesy listing, your business only displays in your city.  EventClicks allows you to select all the cities in your area where you want to promote your business and you only pay for performance.  Because of the nature of this product (you can start and stop it at any time), there is no lead discount or refunds available with this product.  Since over 98% of our visitors do not submit an event request that becomes a lead, the Annual Subscription is an excellent way to get in front of that vast audience, as well as receive a 20% discount on all lead purchases and have the ability to refund eligible purchased leads.  With three Annual Subscription options to choose from, you can subscribe to the level (Basic, Enhanced or Premium) that best meets your business needs.  If you are an active lead buyer and you want your listing to display in all the cities in your area, then the Enhanced Annual Subscription may be a good fit for your business because you receive lead discounts, the ability to request refunds and your business gets a lot more visibility on Eventective so more planners see your listing.  If you do not purchase many leads, but want more exposure on Eventective for your listing, then EventClicks may be a good option for you.  Please call us at 207-253-1653 with questions.  We would be happy to help recommend the best option for your event business.

Our refund policy changed on July 23.  There was an article in the Eventective Focus newsletter sent out the beginning of July and notification on the Refund page prior to the change in the policy.

Your listing displays photos of your venue and you can choose the photo you want to display at the top of your listing.  Because you are an advertiser there are no competitor or third party ads on your listing so it focuses only on your business.  If you have other questions, please contact us at cs@eventective.com.

please sent me a quote on annual subscription.under enhance level listing thanks.I myself love eventective and have been booked and generates more leads so far.I blame myself and should have tried eventective before but im quite hesitant to do so before and now I have generate more clients and my business is doing fine using eventective..more power guys...

How much are the subscriptions? Why don't you list the price clearly? I don't want to call. I want to see the price. I've been a client of Gigmaster's for a number of years and on their site they clearly list how much for their subscription. I can buy a few months or yearly. So, how much for each and how long is the subscription? Very confusing.

Hi Victoria - Subscription pricing is based on your location.  To see pricing for your event business, please sign in to your account.  You will land on the My Eventective page.  On the right side you will see a To Do List.  There will be link there that says you have a courtesy listing "Upgrade"  Click that link and it will take you to pricing.  You may also contact us at sales@eventective.com or 207-253-1653.

Just a suggestion, Eventective should make it MANDATORY that leads have to include their phone number with their event request.

"Email Only" leads are totally worthless.

If it's an "email only" lead, it should be free, or at least only 25c as these type of leads never respond.

Ive had great success with leads that include their phone numbers but not one response to an email follow up.

Thank you for your feedback.  You may set your lead filters so that you only receive leads with phone numbers since those work best for you.  Please keep in mind that only 2% of the visitors on our site turn into a lead.  The rest are doing their own research and browsing listings for the services they need.  You will want to make sure your listing does the best job of promoting your services.  Photos are important and you can add as many photos as you like to your listing.  Packages and pricing information also make a big difference to your listing.  Showing customers that are viewing your listing what the different rates are for your services allows them to see exactly what they are on our site looking for.  Recommendations also help you establish credibility so if you have customers that are happy with your services, ask them to write recommendations on your listing.  You will also want to think about upgrading your listing to an Annual Subscription or EventClicks so that your business receives more online visibility and your listing displays prominently in other cities in your area.  If you have questions or would like help updating your listing, please contact us at cs@eventective.com.

We paint coconuts for invites and gifts. Out of Kirtland Ohio. We do no want to advertise strictly in our city or our state. Nationwide would benefit us most. Can you send pricing and options? We are not interested in leads. Clickable advertising with at least one photo option. Thanks in advance.

Some of you have probably seen articles about our company in past newsletters, newspapers, TV, or just heard about us from word of mouth.

Over the last 13 years we've built our business from a 1 person DJ company serving a local area to a team of over 2,000 professionals offering DJ, photography and video services nationwide. We've tried every lead source we could find and spared no expense to determine what worked and what didn't, what was profitable and what wasn't. In May of 2012 we jumped into all of Eventective's programs and saw such a huge increase in business that we had to back down on some of our SEO and cancelled all of our other paid advertising. Today as a good example I manned 3 phones non stop from when we opened at 10AM until 3:30 PM with incoming calls... about 1/2 of them came from Eventective leads. I finally got some breakfast at 3:30 and still answered some calls while I ate.

No matter what lead sources you use if you only half a$$ "play" or "dabble" you will not be successful with them. You have to play the lead game to win and you also have to work hard on making your profiles attractive. There are no lead sources (Eventective is the closest) that only send leads of people that want to buy from you. If you don't already know how to make a great presentation and close the deal then you need to learn ASAP... or the people that DO KNOW will get most of the business. While some of you are still pushing for the good old fashioned "face to face" meeting, others are booking a lot of clients over the phone and on the internet. Some of you may have a hard time believing that a bride or host would book professional services without a meeting but we meet with less than 1% of our clients and so far our record booking day is 12 events.

This January will be our 1st with all of our Eventective programs in place. We fully expect to book more weddings in that month alone than we did in all of 2012... how about you?
