A Recommendation Goes a Long Way!

A Recommendation Goes a Long Way!

Posted by admin, on 10/28/2010, in category Vendors

How many of us rely on feedback from friends, neighbors, and co-workers for recommendations on a good movie, a new restaurant in town, that trendy store in the mall, a new product, or a cool place to vacation? A recommendation or ‘word of mouth’ is the perfect way to learn more!

People from all walks of life use social media to ask for advice from a circle of friends they trust. Facebook friends provide trusted feedback and Twitter is another great source for instant feedback on a new service, a great deal, or product discounts.

For any venue or vendor with a listing on Eventective, the Recommendations section is a great way for your customers to share their positive feedback about you. If you have a client who has enjoyed working with you, and for whom you have worked hard to deliver that perfect event, then encourage them to write a recommendation for you on your Eventective listing.  You can also ask event businesses you have worked with to recommend you!

Here are some recent recommendations written by people who planned their event with a venue or a vendor with an Eventective listing:

Excellent price, very accommodating, and Gary kept the party going all night with the perfect song choices. There was another wedding going on at the same time as mine, and their guests in the hallway told my MC that they wished they were at my wedding because they could hear how much fun we were having dancing the night away. Thank you, Gary!!!
Anne did a beautiful job officiating our ceremony. From our first meeting to our wedding day, she took the time to meet with us, listen to our vision and create the perfect ceremony. Anne is an absolute pleasure to work with. Even a few of my guests commented on what a lovely job she did. We would HIGHLY recommend Anne as an officiant to anyone looking.
I have to say this was one of the most fun experiences I have had putting together such a big party and they fit the bill. The staff was always so supportive, attentive, and helpful from beginning to end. You will not be disappointed if you decide to have your event at this venue. I promise!

The Recommendations section is right on your Eventective listing. You can request recommendations from your Facebook fans and Twitter followers by providing the link to your Eventective listing.  You can also send an email with a link to your Eventective listing to satisfied clients and event businesses you have worked with.

To get a link to your listing to include in the email, go to your Listings page, select the listing if you have more than one and click the ‘Preview Listing’ button on the right. Copy the URL from your browser and paste it right into your email.

You can direct customers to click on the 'Write A Recommendation' link towards the bottom of your listing to write their feedback regarding their event and what you did to make their event special and memorable.

Once Eventective approves the recommendation, it is added to the Recommendations section on your listing.
