How many of us rely on feedback from friends, neighbors, and co-workers for recommendations on a good movie, a new restaurant in town, that trendy store in the mall, a new product, or a cool place to vacation? A recommendation or ‘word of mouth’ is the perfect way to learn more!
Current trends indicate that people from all walks of life are using social media to ask for advice from a circle of friends they trust. Facebook friends provide trusted feedback and Twitter is another great source for instant feedback on a new service, a great deal, or product discounts.
For any venue or vendor with a listing on Eventective, the Recommendations section is a great way for your customers to share their positive feedback about you. If you have a client who has enjoyed working with you, and for whom you have worked hard to deliver that perfect event, then encourage them to write a recommendation for you on your Eventective listing. You can also ask event businesses you have worked with to recommend you!
Here are some recent recommendations written by people who planned their event with a venue or a vendor with an Eventective listing:
We hired David as the photographer for my daughter's wedding. He was extremely accommodating, and the pictures were awesome! He blended in with the crowd, and by doing so, he was able to capture outstanding moments from start to finish. I would highly recommend him for any occasion.
She was very professional and yet personable. That was a very important part for us. She also gave us ideas to help with different details of the wedding. My husband and I were both very pleased with the outcome.
I had the time of my life last night. My guests were tearing up the dance floor, the Gallery was definitely the right venue for my party. The seating area was spacious and comfortable, the food was outrageous. I had guests asking if they could take leftovers home. Everything went smooth. The Owners of the Gallery delivered big-time. Everything was picture perfect. I will definitely be having any future parties at that Hall. Thanks again guys for everything.
The Recommendations section is right on your Eventective listing. You can request recommendations from your Facebook fans and Twitter followers by providing the link to your Eventective listing. You can also send an email with a link to your Eventective listing to satisfied clients and event businesses you have worked with. To get a link to your listing to include in the email, go to your Listings page, select the listing if you have more than one and click the ‘Preview Listing’ button on the right. Copy the URL from your browser and paste it right into your email.
You can direct customers to click on the blue link in the Recommendations section of your listing to write their feedback regarding their event and what you did to make their event special and memorable. They can even rank you on criteria such as value, friendliness and responsiveness.
See below for an example of where the client should click to write their recommendation.
Once Eventective approves the recommendation, it is added to the Recommendations section on your listing.
It's free, and it's a great way to promote your venue or services to the thousands of people searching Eventective for reliable event businesses!
The Recommendations section displays up to five of the most recent customer comments. Additional comments can be viewed by clicking through to a dedicated Recommendations page. Below is an example of a listing with multiple recommendations and how to access the complete list of posts.
