The EAA Air Academy Lodge is a great place for a family reunion, wedding, baby shower, party, meeting, or retreat. The lodge facilities provide a total of 72 beds complete with a huge social (great) room, kitchen and dining room, distance education classroom, conference space, flight simulation lab, and recreational facilities. Food service is available by request. The recreational facilities include an academy lodge library, gazebo with firepit, challenge course, volleyball court, basketball, pool table, foosball, ping-pong, TV/video viewing, and more! The main lodge has 12 bunkrooms with four bunks per room and shared bathroom facilities. The main lodge also has two handicap accessible suites, each with private bathroom facilities. Each suite is also equipped with four bunks. The luxurious and expansive great room, with two-story fireplace, can be used for a gathering of 10-15 people. The dining area can accommodate up to 54 people per sitting, while the conference/board room can comfortably accommodate 8 people. The lower level distance education classroom will seat 18 in classroom style.

There are no better convention/exhibit facilities in the area than these four hangars with a total of 179,000 square feet each located on the EAA AirVenture grounds. In addition, there are no facilities more in tune with major exhibits and public gatherings. Each summer, these buildings welcome hundreds of aviation exhibitors from around the world, and supply their logistical needs. There are large overhead doors and plenty of possible pedestrian entrances. The four hangars are located close enough that it’s an easy walk to any of them if multiple hangar space is needed. The layout is perfect for organizing your event, convention, festival, or show needs. There’s plenty of adjacent parking room and even an aircraft taxiway if needed! These facilities have hosted everything from the visit of a U.S. president to Wisconsin’s largest agriculture show. If you have a big need, these are the “big rooms” that can serve the purpose! Outdoor exhibit space and camping facilities are available upon request.

A quaint, old-time chapel located next to a quiet pond – the perfect backdrop for beautiful pictures – the Fergus Chapel provides an intimate setting for weddings, baptisms, or memorial services. The chapel is located between the EAA Nature Center and Pioneer Airport and includes easy, separate access off Waukau Avenue. Fergus Chapel is typically available and packaged in conjunction with the rental of a reception area on Saturdays, and is available on its own other days of the week and weekends for wedding ceremonies.

A two-story panoramic view greets guests to the Fergus Plaza, conveniently located on the lower level of the EAA Aviation Center, just inside the main entrance. The view looks out to Leeward Plaza and EAA’s Pioneer Airport, a remarkable re-creation of a 1930s aerodrome. The aviation environment is further enhanced with aircraft hanging directly overhead in the plaza. This room is ideal for receptions, private luncheons, and after-hours events, and has a catering kitchen that is located adjacent to Fergus Plaza. The room accommodates up to 80 people for lunches or dinner and 100 people seated or reception-style for other events.

The main floor of this spacious area accommodates up to 300, surrounding your guests with the history of EAA’s annual fly-in convention. Got a big group? Looking to enjoy the great outdoors? Located east of the EAA Aviation Center in a wooded area, the beautiful lakeside Nature Center Pavilion is a wonderful setting for your company picnic or outdoor event. Along with a separate entrance to make traffic-handling easy, the Nature Center Pavilion features a PA system and overhead doors that can bring in or keep out the weather. The pavilion is surrounded by plenty of open area for parking or group activities. A permanent grill is located adjacent to the building. Fishing (catch and release) is also available. The Nature Center Pavilion comes with picnic tables for your guests.

A state-of-the-art amphitheater that can accommodate major video presentations, the Vette Theater offers comfortable theater seating for 116, which can be expanded to a capacity of 126. Each seat also has a slide-away writing surface, making it an ideal setting for meetings or presentations. In addition, a 600-square-foot foyer is available for registration and hospitality for special events. A private stairway entrance can be used to reach the facility. The Vette Theater is adjacent to the Fergus Plaza, if a dinner/presentation combo session is required. Audiovisual equipment available includes a sound system as well as slide, video, and film projectors. A podium and microphone are also included with the room (an extra charge applies for A/V operator; equipment walk-through and advance notice are required). Please note that food and beverage are not allowed into the Vette Theater, although the entry foyer can be used for light refreshments.
