About Belle Chapel

This beautiful, historic venue allows you to step back in time when you enter the elegantly designed chapel constructed over 130 years ago. The original hand-carved old-grown cedar trusses of the cathedral ceiling is a classic design of elegance at Belle Chapel, allowing you to experience the timelessness of this historic venue. While this exquisite structure was built as home to the United Methodist Church in 1885, today Belle Chapel is a carefully preserved part of Snohomish history and welcomes all guests to host the event of their dreams. Weddings, Receptions, Family Gatherings, Holiday Parties, Baby and Bridal Showers, Birthday and Anniversary Parties, School Dances, and Dance lessons have all enjoyed Belle Chapel and its great location in the heart of the Historic City of Snohomish.

Historic Elegance and Charm - An Eventective User from Raleigh, North Carolina

The Belle was a wonderful experience; its owner was willing to meet with us at almost any time to discuss whatever we needed. She also has pre-made floral arrangements on site, plus an entire store room of extra stems, ribbon, vases, candles, etc. that come free with the use of the chapel. There are two lovely rooms appointed for the bride and groom to prepare for the ceremony, located behind the stage. One downside for the bride is that, to come in at the back of the chapel, she has to walk outside, down and around to come through the front doors. However, umbrellas are provided and the grounds are clean and well-kept. In summer, there is an arbor into the garden and various flowers planted around the building. The Belle is an historic building, and it does feel somewhat rustic, but its overall elegance is lovely. However, one thing to note is that it is small. 100 guests is fine for the wedding hall, but crowded in the reception hall unless the outdoor garden is also used. The garden is a nice extension of the reception hall, but not huge, so plan accordingly. One thing I was slightly disappointed in was the chairs for the reception. They are wooden and painted white, and they show the wear of having been used for many years, such as chipped paint and wood. We would have bought chair covers if we could afford them. Overall, however, the Belle Chapel was a wonderful venue, and very accommodating.
