Our historic, yet contemporary, Beach Park Auditorium boasts stained glass windows, large outdoor patio, and cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams that enhance the ambiance in true Pacific Northwest style. Adding to our Northwest elegance, you and your guests can enjoy our picturesque views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain Range. Both create the perfect back-drop, capturing the day, for years of lasting memories. The Founders Lodge offers floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountain Rage that are breathtaking anytime of year. Nature is ever present in this rustic venue as it spans the Des Moines Creek of which flows beneath. This facility includes a full kitchen and tables and chairs for up to 80. The wrap around deck pours into the meadow, a perfect gathering place for socializing during and after events.The Meadow is a wide open, well groomed lawn area that is available for outdoor events. Outdoor weddings are one of a kind when set in the ever expanding meadow. Rent it for private use or utilize it during any event as a gathering place or activities area. Please note that this is a public area and all patrons of the park have access during events unless a rental fee is paid. If you wish to rent the meadow please contact us for pricing and details.The Field House was built in 1939 as part of the Works Progress Act. The building is the only full log cabin in Washington State. Generations of events have been hosted in the Field House, including weddings, reunions, community events, birthdays, and fund raising auctions. The surrounding park features newly installed play equipment, tennis courts, a skate park, baseball/softball field, and a picnic shelter. The Field House offers three spaces available for Rent.The Des Moines Activity Center is a true hidden gem. Located on S. 216th this facility affords a private feel for your guests, yet is just two turns away from the Kent-Des Moines exit off Interstate I-5. Gleaming hardwood floors throughout and a large stained glass window compliment exposed wood beams. Ample on-site parking and a first class kitchen make this a perfect event space for weddings, banquets and community events.
