Events with a pulse
Hidden in the heart of Greenwood-Phinney, Urban Light Studios is a 3500sf eclectic architectural event space for up to 250 guests. An “artistic speakeasy”, as it has been aptly described, a long hallway guides visitors off the street into a new world.
1920’s brick lines our light filled Main Space, with one of a kind décor in all directions.
Around each corner lies another surprise, from our tranquil China Room with antique accents to the Tiki Room guarded by a 9’ lion, modern black and white Library, and rustic Log Cabin Room salvaged from the set of Northern Exposure.
A large outdoor patio, optional photo studio/art gallery, and a designer kitchen/bar area offer further versatility to your event.
You CAN have it all
We believe aspects of the event industry have become grossly inflated and are dedicated to offering an amazing, affordable alternative. We keep our venue fees low, offer NO food and beverage minimum, and even have self-catering options for food and alcohol to keep costs down (ask for details).
We have teamed with talented, creative caterers and vendors we make available to you who share our dedication to excellence on a budget.
Maybe it’s time to try something different
From weddings to corporate events to birthdays and bar mitzvahs, Urban Light Studios offers a welcome escape from the bland ballroom. Home to a thriving artistic community in subterranean studios and galleries, many visitors and regulars alike find a creative inspiration within our walls. There’s nothing ordinary about our venue and we never tire of seeing the smiles of guests as they explore for the first time.
We’d be happy to show you around and discuss how to make your event extraordinary. Contact us to schedule your tour.

|This was a perfect venue for a Seattle wedding! Urban Light Studios is a photography studio and art gallery that also hosts events. The atmosphere was extremely fun, and we did not have to add many decorations because the place is already full of art and great decor. The space is nice for a variety of people. We had about 150 attend, but it is recommended for anywhere between 50 and 200. They offer several packages. The ridiculous package includes photography, a photo booth, and a hosted rehearsal dinner at a nearby restaurant. They also allow you to bring your own drinks, which helped to save money in planning. The photo booth was also a fun touch that guests enjoyed! You can also rent the parking lot if you feel this is necessary, but our guests were able to carpool and find street parking, so this was not a problem. They have optional furniture rental and preferred caterers to help ease you into the wedding planning. Our photos turned out beautifully, and exciting because they are unique. The photographers are all so friendly and were willing to work with us to figure out what we wanted, and the exciting art helped us to get photos that all of our friends raved about. We had nothing but good things to say about the venue, as did our guests. It is a fun, artsy atmosphere and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is planning a wedding in the Seattle area.|
