Offering an inviting atmosphere, our mid 19th century graceful design, features dramatic chandelier lighting, with exquisite hardwood floors, and rustic decor that was recently renovated. American Hotel (c.1855), National Register and Virginia Landmark, has received Historic Staunton Restoration Award and was voted "Best of Virginia 2012 Winner" for Party Venues in Shenandoah County, by Virginia Living Magazine readers. Some couples prefer additional time so they can decorate or hold a rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at our location. This special price has been adopted trying to accommodate our guests’ requests. The base price for this two day event is $2100.00, you will have access to the room Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am until midnight. You can hold your rehearsal dinner for an additional $200.00. If you have your rehearsal dinner and wedding reception with us, we will setup the room differently for each event according to the floor plans you provide.
You may also use our facility for both the reception and ceremony if you would like at no additional cost.

The Banquet Room was recently renovated offering an inviting atmosphere featuring dramatic chandelier lighting, with exquisite hardwood floors and rustic décor. The Banquet Room hosts a year round uniquely beautiful setting for rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, anniversaries, engagement parties, civic events, family reunions and business events.
We can seat your reception of 200 with additional space to meet your needs. Ample parking exists, along with additional parking in our two story garage. Caterers enjoy the use of our large prep room. You may use any Caterer of your choice or prepare your own food.
We are Located in the heart of the historic downtown wharf area of Staunton Virginia, near Charlottesville, and South of Harrisonburg, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with indoor and outdoor photographic sites including sites related to the historic Staunton Train Station.
