Thank God we found Rev. Byron who performed a beautiful ceremony for us. It was well worth the wait since he is extremely busy because he performs almost all the Civil Ceremonies in the Roanoke area because other Officiants don't do what is required and charge ridiculous fees! Thank God for the Commonwealth of Virginia memo indicating that Zoom and Phone Weddings are Legal in Virginia. Too many people get wrong information from Circuit Courts who tell you what they think is right rather than what is right. The phone wedding worked perfect for us and we had a beautiful ceremony as well.

Thanks to Rev. Byron and Virginia for helping us do our wedding. My partner had to leave Virginia right after we got our marriage license to care for a sick family member and we knew he would not be able to come back for our wedding which could not be rescheduled. We were lied to by other Virginia Ministers and Virginia Courts who said he and the minister had to be present for the wedding. We also were lied to by Utah Ministers who told us we had to get a Utah license and get married by a Utah minister. Thank God we spoke to Rev. Thanks to the expertise of Rev. Byron we did a phone wedding since my partner was unable to come to the States because of a health setback and poor connection. My partner and I made the best decision of our lives by getting married in Utah through the Utah County Online Electronic Marriage License Process. We along with our two witnesses and guests were allowed to be anywhere since our officiant was in Utah. Utah was our only hope since our marriage could not occur legally in China.

Sherry and I planned on a DC judge marrying us by ZOOM but when we found out there is a three month wait for a marriage license and appt , we contacted Rev. Byron who directed us to the remote license option thru Utah County Utah and since the officiant was in Utah we and our two witnesses could be anywhere , and I can't travel because of health reasons. Tobias and I were looking for the flexibility of a specially written ZOOM ceremony with a interfaith wording as well as certain family members participating in the ceremony. We had a very traumatic situation when my then fiancee, Grant became ill out of state right before our wedding date. We checked with our officiant, Rev.
