About Stratford Hall Plantation
Stratford Hall is located in the Historic Northern Neck of Montross, VA.
Stratford Hall occupies around 1900 acres along the Potomac River. Home of the Lees of Virginia, Stratford Hall is a historic museum and working farm as well as, gift shop, research library, and visitor center.
Tours through the original 18th-century Great House are offered daily in both guided and self-guided audio formats. Visitors can purchase a grounds pass to hike nature trails, walk through the restored gardens, visit the river-front Gristmill, and view historic cliffs from a private Potomac River overlook on property.
Stratford Hall provides specialized educational programs for school groups with a wide range of learning opportunities from history to preservation to paleo.
