While our venue offers a rural peaceful location, we are still conveniently located 10 minutes from Harrisonburg and only 4.5 miles off of Interstate 81. Cross Keys Barn LLC is the only renovated bank barn with modern bathroom facilities in Rockingham County, Virginia. The barn is at least 100 years old and has been in the Liskey family for 60 years. Cross Keys Barn LLC features the original barn structure with a few extra special touches added. Wolf Trap Farm features panoramic views of mountains, pastures, horses and cattle, miles of board fencing and beautiful woodlands full of trails. The farm complex is a Virginia Historic Landmark and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Manor House is at the heart of the farm complex, and features 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, two kitchens, a large patio and boxwood garden. Nestled behind the Manor House is the 1856 Servants' Cottage, with its huge covered patio. Just down the hill is the Pond House, a more contemporary cottage overlooking a pond full of bass, bream, frogs and turtles. A few hundred yards away is the Milker's Cottage, with its large screened porch and stunning interior. The setting is truly idyllic, with horses and cattle as part of your scenery.
The Charlottesville area, with its stunning scenery, many wineries, and historic sites such as Monticello, Montpelier, and rural historic districts, has become a top choice for weddings and other special gatherings. Wolf Trap Farm hosted over two-dozen weddings in 2014. We also host corporate picnics, reunions, anniversary parties, etc.
Our new Pavilion is enclosed on three sides, accommodates 150 under roof and has an overflow patio that can seat another 40 - 50, and has a stage and ample dance floor. There is an oversized ladies' dressing/bathroom, men's bathroom, and a caterer's warming kitchen. Our new hilltop ceremony site is just behind the Pavilion.
