The Dangerous Kitchen channels the spirit and inventiveness of original BeBop jazz and its pioneers -- geniuses like Dizzie Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Sonny Rollins. We offer an evening (or Sunday Jazz Brunch!) of inventive, cutting-edge interpretations of classic jazz and latin styles, served up hot and made-to-order for your venue in whatever mood you desire — from gently-swinging ballads to spicy, flat-out cookin’ dance arrangements.
While the material may be classic, and our personnel seasoned veterans of East Coast and Midwest music scenes, our approach to performance is anything but stodgy. This is not your parents’ jazz band — we bring a fresh, contemporary approach that pulls in crowds of all ages and tastes.
