The Trapp Family Lodge reminds me very much of Austrian hotels I've experienced many times. The public areas are casual and people-friendly, the lounge and library are comfortable, and the dining...

Views of the mountains are from every angle.

A painting of Salzburg just off the lobby area.

Tea is served in the library from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

The beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows.

The graveyard at dusk was a good place to collect my thoughts.

The stone chapel is on the mountain above the lodge.

The main entrance to the Trapp Family Lodge is from the court at front.
