This beautiful scenic and challenging 18-hole Dick Phelps-designed course has matured into one of Texas’ best since opening in 1989. Iron Horse is considered a "thinker’s course" by many because of its fantastic variety of holes which requires draws, fades, "boomers" and lay-up shots off the tees and strategic plays into undulating greens that are well bunkered. Iron Horse offers excellent Food & Beverage Service in our train depot-styled clubhouse. Burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, complete breakfasts, salads and a large variety of appetizers are available. Iron Horse also has on-course service via fully-stocked Beverage Cars and a vintage train caboose, converted into a full-service Snack Bar. Both indoor and outdoor reception areas available. The facility boasts a covered Outdoor Pavilion which can comfortably seat 300 persons. Whether it is lunch/dinner before or after your event, birthday parties, weddings or receptions, Iron Horse offers an affordable and upscale setting for your special functions.
