Good Business at the Magnolia Hotel - An Eventective User from Wappingers Falls, NY

The Magnolia Hotel in Houston, Texas is the perfect setting for business of any kind. The renovated building was once the home of the Houston Post Dispatch newspaper, but you would never know it looking at its elegant facade. The building is immaculate inside and out. Although it was once hailed as one of the most impressive office buildings in the Houston area, its beauty has clearly transferred well to its new purpose. The hotel itself is a magnificent structure- a gem of the Houston Metro area. Inside, one can expect exceptional service alongside five-star accommodations. The style is reminiscent of turn of the century glamour, and is incomparably pulled off. Its opulence shines through, but it is not ostentatious. The furnishings all seem to be meticulously selected and add a hint of class to the already classy exterior. The rooms are a cozy size and are a very comfortable respite from the hardships of the business world. The meeting hall itself was simple, austere, but not without the amenities that grizzled conference veterans are accustomed to. Everything went off without a hitch, and although it was not the best venue I've conducted business at, it was far from the worst. A definite positive of the hotel was its location. It was situated in the center of Houston, amid all the best culture it has to offer. The restaurants I ate at were very good, and the bars in the surrounding area were surprisingly good as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Magnolia for any of your business meeting needs... just don't expect world class accommodations and service.
