Kevin Hunt (owner) grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston High. He was on the drum line in the school’s band and went on to play in several garage bands and local clubs. One day in 1989, he and a couple of friends decided to try their hand at deejaying to make some extra money. They started out with a home stereo and a ton of tapes and realized very quickly there was much more to this job. That’s when Kevin’s grandmother, Inez Hunt, became a partner…She made a small investment and helped Kevin purchase a mixing board, some speakers, lights, and some cd’s. And so the Towersounds story begins…
Kevin is a lively, comical individual with a magnetic personality. He has a unique ability to draw people onto a dance floor and convince them it’s okay to do the “YMCA” dance. He’s also one of the only men I’ve seen dance the Cha Cha slide! He’s great with kids of all ages and has contracts with many local schools for carnivals, dances, and high school proms.
Unlike other dj’s, Kevin doesn’t have a formula or routine for playing music. The true evidence of his talent is to watch him turn a bored crowd into smiling, laughing, dancing individuals. No matter what the audience, he knows what you want to hear!
Kevin has a wide selection of all types of music from classical to jazz, country to rap, and metal to…well lots of metal, but that’s just his personal taste.
So, if you’re planning a party or wedding in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and want to make it really special, don’t forget to call Towersounds mobile dj service first!
