Ford Theater is a tour de force of architectural and acoustic engineering. In fact, the Ford Theater was designed by the same acoustical experts who created the renowned Lincoln Center in New York City. During normal museum hours, the Ford Theater operates as a cinema theater, complete with high-definition video and Dolby digital surround sound. After museum hours and during special events, the Theater transforms into a performance hall, with capabilities for live music, video and other media presentations. Since its creation, the Ford Theater has hosted a variety of theatrical productions, intimate performances and foot-stomping musical concerts. Natural light streams down from 70 feet above, bathing the bronze likenesses of those celebrated musicians, songwriters, singers and music executives honored by their peers. Carved in stone around the interior of the Rotunda is the song title and unofficial theme of The Hall: "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." Appropriately enough, this room also houses "The Sources of Country Music," a powerful mural painted by American artist Thomas Hart Benton, depicting the musical and cultural traditions that shaped country music. It provides a dramatic focus for the Rotunda, making this space perhaps the most unconventional square footage available for your function or event.

The entrance to the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum offers a unique opportunity for event and meeting planners to stage large capacity functions in the shadow of country music's towering heritage. Inside, the Mike Curb Conservatory provides an expansive and moving experience for reception and dinner attendees. Glass walls soar 70 feet to the ceiling, offering dramatic and expansive views of downtown Nashville. Overhead, large steel beams supporting the Curb Conservatory's glass ceiling and walls evoke images of rural railroad bridges, while the cascading water along the Grand Staircase suggests the mighty rivers that have inspired America's country music songwriters. Underfoot, authentic Mississippi yellow pine floors and crab orchard stone from the East Tennessee Mountains add a rustic touch appropriate to country music's roots. The Curb Conservatory, with all its grandeur, expands to an outdoor terrace in front of the Museum. The Terrace is an ideal space for outdoor receptions and dining events. All and all, the two spaces create a complete environment that enhances any large meeting, reception or event.
