 7/9/2008 | | "Not A Child Photographer", msjld08 from Seymour, Tennessee | While on vacation, our family selected this photographer based on her website and searches under "beach" and "child" photography. This was not the case. Cindi made our family of 11 feel very rushed and had no patience with the children, even scaring the 12 month old with speaking very loudly when she first met her and putting her in positions on the beach that she could easily lose her footing. This photo session was mainly done as a picture for my daughter's first birthday--a very important milestone. Needless to say, we did not get EVEN ONE picture of her facing the camera, all from side views. The photographer was too busy messing with her props to take shots when my daughter was actually looking at her.
Another complaint that I have is that she advertises as a "myrtle beach" photographer, when in fact we had to drive over an hour to get to her one spot of taking pictures on Huntington Beach.
Then when we look at the pictures on line, our disappointments were confirmed. Not really any good shots of my 1 yr old or family of 11 group picture- the posing of all of us looked like she had taken random people on the beach and shoved them together to make a picture. Also the lighting was very bad in many of the pictures--very white and clothes were washed out looking. We ended up ordering a few pictures because this probably was a once in a lifetime opportunity and when they came back to us in the mail, we were even more disappointed. The picture quality and paper quality looked no better than if I had uploaded pictures to a drugstore and had them print out snapshots--the lighting and our clothing on some were very bright and washed out. I would NEVER go back to this photographer or recommend her. Also to note--she has a GREAT website so you feel like you have picked a great photographer based on her samples, but I seriously doubt she even took these pictures alone. BEWARE.
