 12/7/2011 | | "Capital City's Splendid Venue", An Eventective User from Columbia, SC | | Greetings from historic Columbia, capital city of South Carolina. At 142,500 square feet, the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center is capable of holding the largest events as well as smaller events. It was built in 2004 thanks to the vision of Columbia's government officials. In addition, this magnificent facility has a 24,700 square-foot column free exhibit hall and a ravishing 17,135 square-foot ballroom. For your next event or meeting, this makes a quite perfect destination. I attended an awards banquet at this facility a few years ago, and I must say it is very impressive for its size and beauty. Our party was just at around 75 to 100 people and it worked fabulously, although it could have comforted several more parties of that size. The ballroom is very spacious, with a spectacular design and brilliant decor. For a convention with displays and/or exhibits, the exhibit room is finely decorated with far more than ample space and great ceiling appeal. The in-house catering staff, Ovation, will customize for any party's needs. With 1,480 hotel rooms within a mile, all ten hotels are upscale with distinct downtown appeal. Most of all, this great capital city has the nightlife only big cities enjoy and smaller cities dream of. The historic Vista area encompasses the convention center, with multiple venues to choose from. Also, the college students of the University of South Carolina love to party in Five points. Visit this great place in Columbia, SC for your next event. |
